Ihlamur Pavilion was constructed by Nikogos Balyan for Sultan Abdülmecit in 1855. It took 6 years to built the pavilion. And used by sultan for hunting and recreation. Ihlamur Pavilion is named for the linden trees that grow in the gardens.

The Ihlamur Pavilion contains two kiosks: the Maiyet and Merasim Kiosk. The Merasim Kiosk was user by the sultan only. The Maiyet Kiosk was used by the sultan’s entourage and family members. The ceiling of the kiosk is covered with landscape pictures. Sultan Abdülmecid I. welcomed Lamartine, a famous French writer, and politician here.

The pavilion was not used for a long time after the foundation of the Republic. Both Kiosks were restored during the 1980s and along with garden found inside, was once again opened to visitors in 1987.
