The hotel is fairly good, large, clean room, good breakfast, location and service. Nice view from the roof terrace and large selection for breakfast. The only negatives we had is shower with mould in few places being quite smelly as well as turkish bath which was quite smelly. maybe a deep clean would improve that and then the experience would be more than recommended!

we have stayed last week for five days. It is very nice clean, comfortable and very helpful staff especially Kadir. Breakfast is very rich.
Locations is great, Grand bazaar, blue mosque Topkapi Palace and Haggai Sofia all in 5-15 minutes walking distance.
There are some minor downsides but location, comfort and breakfast are worth diffidently more than its price.

Very well located halfway down the hill from the covered bazaar and half way up from Kumkapi Fish restaurant district and the waterfront (where one can literally walk for miles)
Room was clean, bath had excellent hot water and pressure (but shower stall leaked a little).
Only complaint is that the glasses in the room were never changed, just rinsed out (not washed) on a daily basis.
Breakfast is supposed to be from 7 to 10 am, on at least 4 of the 7 days of my stay, the fruit, eggs, bread, coffee were not available until 730 am earliest and other days much closer to 8 am.
That said, they had the best scrambled eggs ever in a hotel anywhere I have stayed at.

nice hotel, with very helpful friendly staff. Right in the heart of Istanbul, 10 minuts walk from the grand bazar, Bule mosque and many other places to see. Hotel has a very nice Turkish bath.

Dear Sirs,
I booked a hotel with you, (Reservation no: 152-0000308) on April 03, 2011. The hotel was Angles Garden Hotel on Tiyatro Caddesi No:90 Beyazit. The reservation check-in and check-out was for April 23, 2011 - April 29, 2011. Problem: The Booking was not accepted by the hotel, I was told that the hotel was full and my reservation was not in the computer. The hotel reception told me they had an opening in the hotel next door and would book me there until they had an opening. The hotel next door was in-fact the next door down the road. This hotel was under construction, every floor were construction workers and tools and work going on. The room that I was given was covered in dust. I have attached pictures from the room. The next day I returned to Angles Garden Hotel to express my disappointment when I was informed that the price of the room that I was given was the exact price that I received from you as a bid, (95 €). I refused to stay any longer in this hotel and was informed by the hotel receptionist that I must pay the sir charges from my reservation. When I refused to pay, the hotel receptionist raising his voice extremely and made several treats demanding payment. I did not pay the sir charges. I wish to stress my disappointment in the actions from this hotel. I feel as though I have been part of a scam to steal from a dumb tourist. I do not appreciate the way that I have been handled. I do not know if the booking problem was a fault of yours or Angles Garden Hotel. I do know the way that I was handled is the fault of Angles Garden Hotel. I paid 95€ for a filthy 3rd class room in the middle of construction that didn’t even have toilet paper in the bath room. I would like to know what you will do about this outrages behavior? I have pictures of this room if they are needed.

Very nice location but the smallest room I have ever seen.Seeing as we were very busy sightseeing it did not really bother us as we literally only slept there,so did not spend a lot of time in the room.Breakfast very basic but sufficient.Good value for money.

The hotel is just okay. There are better places for the same cost. The installations are a bit old and cleanliness is not the best.

Decent service and clean. The room was really small. Breakfast was basic. There was a problem with the shower which was making the bathroom look like swimming pool - we asked to fix it or change room and the advice was: do not use a lot of water. Because of this the room smelled humidity. We were lucky to have a room above the ground. It is not noted during the booking but there are rooms in -1 floor.

While booking I thought it was value for money but I was given a cramped basement room with AC not working. Despite my complaint no action was taken to rectify the AC.
Person at front desk was helpful. Breakfast was ok. Location is suitable.

This is the second year / third time I have stayed at this hotel. On each occasion I have found the desk staff to be helpful, breakfast bountiful and delicious, accommodations clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a convenient location; near major tourist sites and the metro, but far enough off the main roads as to be in a quiet neighborhood. I would recommend this hotel to others. (This website asks for a numeric ranking but doesn't define its scale. If 10 is the best possible, I give this hotel a 9 for its star level).

Nice, clean rooms - no problems there. Good food for breakfast. The hotel staff is quite friendly, but their English is not very good. Having questions answered or receiving help may be a bit of a struggle - not because they don't want to help, but they may just not understand what is being asked of them. (i.e. - The hamam was not ready for us because the clerk wrote down a morning time rather than the evening time. We ended up not using it because it took to long to heat by that point in the night.)
The hotel is near the grand bazaar, as is states, but please note that it is a very steep, up-hill walk to get to the bazaar or the tram. Not ideal if one is carrying heavy things.
Decent for the price.

Good location, very helpful staff. Only about 15 min to grand bazaar and close to tram station. Walk uphill to main road which was a bit tiresome at times. Room was nice and clean and air conditioned. Bathroom was small and shower drainage wasn't too great. However, it was good for the price offered and comfortable to come back to after a long day out!

The hotel was a good place and with a very friendly service. Short distances to the most important points in Istanbul are a great advantage.

Excellent price/performace ratio. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, nice view from the roof to terrace and frst class service during breakfast. No noise from street. It is not a luxury hotel but it is a over deliverying middle class hotel that i recommend if you would like a smooth and relaxing stay in Istanbul.

Nice hotel in a typical small street of the 'old' part of Istanbul. You are on a walking distance to the touristic attractions. The hotel was fine and the people were very helpfull.

A very pleasant hotel. Very caring staff. And a very secure place. The good thing was it was only 150 yards away from the fish restaurant for the fish lovers. The atmosphere is amazing. When i go back, I will be looking forward to staying at that hotel.

Hotel was new and decent. Pleasant clean rooms, quite light. Location is reasonably convenient for the main sites. One minor problem is that the doors stick and close noisily. Also there's a bit of noise from the street.
One thing to watch out for is the taxi company that the hotel uses. They will charge you excessively for a taxi ride to or from the airport, then put you in a shared taxi. You should refuse to fall for this scam.

The hotel is located in Beyazit, the older part of the city. Great place if you want to stay away from the tourist spots. My wife and I stayed from the 29th July-2nd August. Stayed in room 3004, it was clean and the bathroom has a great hot shower. The mattress was firm and good for an aching body after spending hours walking around. The hotel staff were obliging and very helpful. Breakfast was simple but good, so dont expect a huge buffet. Good place to stay if you plan to be out the whole day.

Angels Garden Hotel was a very decent hotel experience, with a suitable location in a labyrinth of narrow alleys - however, close to the tram - nice staff and VERY fresh small rooms. The bathroom had been small even without a shower cabin, but the room was really comfortable and clean. The lobby was nothing special and sometimes language was a problem at the reception, but the staff was very helpful and everything was sorted out. I'd definitely stay there again.

My husband and I had researched on the internet before we booked and had read that some rooms had been recently modernised and therefore requested one – we were more than impressed, the colours, the details, the bathroom and amazing shower – just gorgeous.
Hotel staff were brilliant, they gave us advice on where to go and what to see. istanbul itself has a huge amount to do. The hotel is in a perfect location for all of these.
So with advice from staff we took ourselves off on the trams. The best place to visit, especially Grand bazaar, topkapi palace and so on... We will be back....
