Very good hotel with nice rooms and helpful staff. But wee have to leave to the airport 7:30 am and there was no breakfast before 8 am possible, also not a reduced one. Therefore only 8 Points ranking. Everything else perfect.

Very pleasant atmosphere, the managers give you a welcome feeling and make time to give information or just for a chat. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast on the roof terrace with beautiful view!
Our stay in the Berce hotel was great!

Quaint and very clean hotel, located on a relatively quiet small street. The double room we stayed in was spacious and well appointed. The mattress was a little too hard and cold benefit from a pillowtop. The bathroom was a little cramped, but newly remodeled, modern and functional. Location was close to all the major sites in Sultanahmet. Just remember that you are going to walk up and down hill to arrive at the sites as the area is located on a large hill. The staff was very helpful and the main host was fluent in English. All in all, very pleased with our stay. By the way, the Turkish pronounce the name of the hotel 'Barja'.

I stayed in this Hotel for 10 days in August. For me this is one of the best Hotels i have stayed in, it's not just the beautiful rooms and great terrace but the hospitality of the staff. Starting from the front desk, the cleaning and catering staff to the Owner of the hotel who i had a drink with every night at the terrace.A very humble man who always makes sure all his guests get his personal touch. These people make you feel like you're home and they attend to every problem you have with a smile and such humility. I give this hotel 5 star rating and i would stay there everytime i'm in Istanbul. Berce is a symbol of Turkish hospitality and i recommend it to anyone.

Lovely, clean room with a nice bathroom, a/c and large, comfy bed. Prices were very reasonable, especially before July. Staff were friendly and v. helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was nice coming back to the hotel after the bustle of Istanbul. Located perfectly for Sultanahmet and for the tram over the Bosphorus. Breakfast could have a bit more range, but is no worse than any other I had in Turkey and the roof terrace is a pleasant place to eat.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel this weekend. We received a lot of interesting information from the nice people of the hotel e.g. what to visit in the old city. The room is nice en consists of all nessesary luxery like airco, lcd tv and wifi internet. I recomment this hotel to everybody who looks for a nice, cosy hotel in the middle of the old city. And that for a very nice price.

Hotel Berce is tucked away behind the Blue Mosque in the heart of Istanbul. The rooms are spottlessly clean, well appointed with a touch of sophisication and class - furniture and decor have been chosen with care and taste. The mini bar prices payable! The bathroom better than some 4**** hotels I have stayed in, with fluffy clean towels, shampoo and other toiletries, hairdryer and plenty of hot water. Breakfasts are served on the roof terrace with panoramic views over the Sea or Marmaris. Unlimited buffet style with a excellent selection and a regionnal speciality. The reception staff speak perfect English and could not be more helpful! The ladies who do breakfasts spoilt me and brought fruit and water in the lazy afternoons I spent reading on the terrace ... simply amazing. Newcomers to Istanbul should not be put off by the shabby back streets and seemingly run down neighbourhood - I walked here - a single woman alone at night! Hotel Berce is simply a GEM.

We have been in Istanbul 10 days. And every evening we came back to the Berce Hotel with pleasure. Good location: really 5 minutes walk to Blue Mosque and situated in the calm side-street. Comfortable rooms (there are a 3 small balconies in our room). Room and bathroom are very-very clean. We had no problem with a hot water. Staff are very kindly. Mehmet Kaya has recommend us a restourants in each parts of Istanbul and there were a really nice with a reasonable price (thank him very much). We will recommend the Berce Hotel to our friends.

We stayed in the Berce Hotel three nights and enjoyed it very much. The room was very large and spacious, fresh, clean, and well decorated. We paid 90 euros per night. That is a real bargin because it felt like a 200 euro per night hotel to me. The Hotel staff was friendly extremely helpful. For example, we wanted to play squash and they called a lot of sports centers to find one where we could play without being a member.
The hotel location is great. It is on a quiet street in a busy area. Just around a couple of corners is the main mosque as well as pedestrian streets and tourist attractions.
We will stay there the next time we are in Istanbul. The only have 7 guest rooms so you need to reserve in advance. We did not have an trouble though reserving about 4 weeks in advance.

We stayed at the Berce Hotel for 3 nights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to Old Town, Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Also enough restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is on quiet street (at least for Istanbul standards!) and we were not bothered by street noise, the windows are well insulated. Breakfast was good. More than enough to get you going all morning. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or stay there again.
