Good overall. Good location, 100m from Taksim square, big variety in breakfast, good size room but small bathroom. The friezer does not work when you are out of the room. The people in the reception are polite and helpful. I had a very pleasant stay.

me and my family realy enjoy. Hotel Rooms it is same as we see in the net. but staff is real value of this hotels special receiption staff Mr.Jem & Mr.Murad. all staff are polite supportive and smile. Hotel rates is ok. very clean and safe,free swimming pool and sauna is very good offer specially for families. If I came again I will not stay in any other hotel only prefere and recommend Grand star Hotel.

Two disspointing situations.. First, when we arrived (26/06/09 afternoon +/- 17hs), the person from the front desk that received us to make the chek in, told us that we must pay in CASH, when in the reservation from internet said that we could pay with credit card. When I told that, the response (without the usual cordiality that one wait in a 4stars Hotel) that we should pay more money per day (91 Euros instead of 81 as we should...)...dissapointing So we had to negociate, and I finnaly paid in cash, just to avoid the uncomfortable situation... The particular situation was that these person, with a bad mood, received and rejected my 2 international credit cards (one a VISA GOLD), saying that there was no credit on thems....in the 6 days in Istanbul I payed everything with these credits cards without problem......doubtful situation
Second disapointing situation... We tryed to go to the swimming pool, with my girl friend..... It was really dark, and just full of mens....nothing to do wit the pictures that you promote in the publicity....not a confortable situation. And more, the responsable for the entrance to the swemming pool wanted to charge 10 Euros to each one for the towels.....You're talking from a 4 stars hotel....
And to conclude, the air conditioning was so weak that it was better to sleep we the window open...
So I think that there were really dissapointing situations. We didnt felt really confortable in the Hotel. These hotel dont has the level for 4 stars.
I really wont recomend these hotel...

The Grand Star Hotel I stayed few days ago when I was in Istanbul looked very nice and comfortable to me. I found it pretty high standart and quality hotel at a relatively low price located in a perfect place of Taksim.

NICE LOCATION, NICE ROOM, UNFRIENDLY STAFF. I STAYED 8 NIGHTS AND THE WHOLE PERIOD WE GOT THE SAME BREAKFAST EVERY DAY!
