My husband and I had a fantastic stay in Istanbul. We absolutely loved the city, and the people. The staff at May Hotel made our stay so enjoyable, they were extremely friendly, very helpful and full of recommendations on things to see and do. The hotel was in good clean condition, and wasn't to noisy. The rooms had airconditioning and were comfortable. There was great water pressure in the showers! The buffet breakfast was also great!
The hotel was in a good location, very close to the Grand Bazaar for lots of excellent shopping! and close to the tram to access other areas. There are lots of great eating places and restaurants around the hotel. We would definitely go back, it was good value!

It is great hotel! It is new hotel, build in april 2010!
They have breakfast from 7:00 - 10:00. It is very tasty breakfast.
Kindly hotel personality. It is practicly in the city center.
Near Hagia Sofia, Blue mosque, Grand bazar.
We were 10 days in the hotel. Nice experience.

The hotel is very clean and new in an old area of town but near the fish restaurants.
Everyday we had clean and fresh sheets on bed and soft white new towels for us.
The room was small but good enough.
staff was very helpful and nice.
Air conditioning.
Very good for the price we paid.
The street got a little noisy until 11:30 p.m because the merchants were working and people talking in the street. but it is an interesting part of town to know.

Very well located within walking distance of all the major attractions. Friendly staff, well served breakfast. Rooms neat and tidy, clean bathrooms.
Only negative thing that they don't have restaurant service because sometime you want something for room service.
Overall I would recommend it.
I was with my wife and a 10 month old son.

This is a great hotel in the perfect location. It is modern and clean, and the staff is very helpful. Just a few blocks (uphill) walk to the tram, and a short walk down the hill to the seafood market and restaurants, it is really well situated. My only complaint was that I booked a room for three persons (significantly more than a room for two), and all we initially got was a two-person room with a cot - that was really too small. For 11 Euros more I bought the room I thought I was getting from the website photo. They should clarify this in their pricing plan, or charge lots less for the smaller room. On my rating 1 is higher than ten.

This is a new, well located little establishment with good access to shops, transport, restaurants and sights. The staff were courteous, and the hotel well kept. A continental breakfast was included in our package, and more than adequate. The rooms are smallish. There is one family room available with a double and 2 single beds. The bathrooms were very clean with decent fittings and plumbing.
Positives: Location, cleanliness, helpful staff. The fish restaurants at the nearby esplanade are a real bonus!
Negatives: Very few. Rooms facing front street can be noisy, but this is to be expected in a city of 20 million!
I would highly recommend this hotel. OK for families. Excellent 3* standard.

A very well located hotel, situated about two minutes walk away from the train station and 5 minutes away from the tram station up the hill- although a very brisk walk up a rather steep hill each morning! (Clears the lungs well, let me tell you!) The hotel is situated in Kumkapi which is right by a fishing port so fresh fish is plentiful. Literally about 5 minutes away from the Grand Bizaar and Sultanahmed Mosque (Mash'Allah, so beauitful!) Staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and tidy, albeit small and the walls are quite thin! The hotel organised a free transfer from the hotel to the airport on departure. We really loved the location.
